Purpose of the Study

In today’s world, the values we hold shape our communities and define the kind of society we want to live in. Art in public spaces serves as a powerful medium to express and share these values, creating connections between people and sparking conversations that might otherwise go unspoken.

The Peaceful Demonstrator Study explores questions such as:

Which values are most important to people in society?
- The study aims to uncover which societal values resonate strongly with individuals and which topics people would feel motivated to express publicly.
Can public art activate and inspire social reflection?
- By focusing on peaceful demonstrators, this study investigates whether public art can inspire individuals to reflect, discuss, and engage with social issues they feel are significant.
How does art influence personal creativity and awareness of surroundings?
- The study seeks to understand whether art prompts people to think more deeply about their environment or encourages them to express themselves in new ways.

My Personal Interest in This Project

Understanding Community Values: I aim to uncover which values matter most to the people around me.
Amplifying Voices through Art: Through my “peaceful demonstrator” sculptures made from recycled materials, I try to bring participants' values into public spaces.
Exploring Art's Social Impact: Observing how my street art interacts with society and exploring ways to measure its effect on viewers.
Blending Art and Research: This project combines my passion for creative expression with a dedication to research.
Inspiring Transformation: Showing that discarded materials can, with creativity, become impactful artwork that reflects and shapes our society.
